NAIL SALON REVIEW: Rob B OPI Concept Salon, Ventura Blvd, Studio City CA
Through the wonderful thing known as LivingSocial, I jumped up on a chance to get what would normally be a $90 spa mani/pedi for $45 and what a deal it was. The idea behind this OPI concept salon is that everything is green, from the materials used to build the space to the uniforms worn by staff to the lotions and and liquids used for the manicures.
I had the lovely opportunity to have Mariel as my nail tech and she was fantastic in addressing my nail design requests though she openly admitted she hadn’t done too many designs as of late. The pink polish went on nicely and she painted the silver moons using nail design polish shortly thereafter. 4 days later and there is still no chip. Because it was my first visit I was given a gift bag that included 2 polishes and 1 2-in-1 base and top coat finish which she advised me to apply every other day to keep the manicure fresh.
This was all followed by what was probably the most relaxing pedicure I’ve ever had, no joke. She had mentioned during the manicure that pedicures (and skincare) were her areas of expertise and she was so right about that. I’m not ever one to fall asleep in public for the most part, but the pedicure was so relaxing and soothing as she applied a variety of exfoliating scrubs and lotions that one couldn’t help but fall asleep!!!
I accidentally bought two living social deals with the Rob B Concept Salon and I can say that in the end it was a happy accident…because I cannot wait to back! $45 deal for a $90 service is incredibly nice on the nails and pockets! :)
